Near Death at 2 Years Old

My next big life adventure happened at the age of 2. On May 19, 2000 (16 years ago today), our family of 4 went to a baseball game in Mobile, AL. We sat in foul ball zone and we were having a good time as a family. The batter swings and hits the baseball early...a very fast line-drive...straight for the crowd. And the ball whacked me in the head right near my eye, and then it bounced off me and hit my dad. He got a bad bruise on his leg and was limping around on it for a few days...but he got hit second!! I don't think I went unconscious, but I know that blood spewed everywhere and I screamed. I was rushed to the ER. I could have died...this injury was deep and almost to my skull. I do not remember this happening, but I do remember when I got my stitches out...that wasn't fun. But guess what? I didn't die. And my parents say it was a miracle. Apparently my parents were interviewed and were on a radio station as a result of this incident. Today, I still have a scar on my face and it's a constant reminder that God preserved my life that day.

    1. Hi Diwakar,

First of all, thanks for your comment! I'm glad you found my blog.

Although I do love traveling and going on missions trips, I'm not sure that I'm available to go on any as of right now. But thank you so much for thinking of me! Lord willing, maybe one day I'll venture out to India. :)

Again, thanks for commenting! I appreciate it very much.

      God bless,
      Sarah
